Steps for School Participation in St. Paul's Fastest Kid!
1. Contact Steven Williams, St. Paul's Fastest Kid! Coordinator, at fastestkidinstpaul@gmail.com if you are interested in participating.
We will follow-up with you directly regarding this event and send you a school/parent information packet. This packet will contain: a suggested time-line, school information pamphlet, 8 parent letters and 8 parent information pamphlets/consent form.
2. Select the fastest boy and girl runner and wheeler from the 5th and 6th grades. This selection can be based upon a designated race, performance in physical education activities, or the students that show the most interest in participating can also be chosen.
3. Send the parent/guardian letter and brochure home with the top finishers by March 26, 2010. The parent brochure includes information about the meet and a registration form and waiver that confirms students’ participation. Make sure to add the appropriate return by date to the parent letter and registration form.
4. Receive registration forms back from students. Follow up with students who have not returned form.
5. If student is unable to attend, then send a new parent letter and brochure to a back-up finisher and so on.
6. Once you have confirmation from all participants, mail consent forms to:
