Since the two-day Elite Meet qualifies as one meet under MSHSL guidelines,  athletes are limited to competing in a max of 4 events over the two days (3 field & 1 running; 2 field & 2 running; 1 field and 3 running). An athlete may do no more than 2 running events of 800 meters or longer.  Any school that has a relay team in Friday’s competition will not be allowed to compete in that event on Saturday. Individuals who compete in Friday’s open running events are eligible to compete on their team’s relay(s) on Saturday.  Individuals competing in Friday's field events cannot come back and compete on Saturday in the two-person relay of the same event.

ONLINE ENTRY PROCESS:

Entries for Saturday's Hamline Elite Meet will be submitted online through Apple Raceberry Jam. The online entry system is now open and available for entries at http://www.raceberryjam.com/hsonlineentry.php3.
Online Entry Steps:

1) Register for a user name and password if you don’t already have one.  This user name is unique to meet entry and is generally not the same login as Raceberry's Honor Roll. Please allow a day or so for your registration to be reviewed and activated by Apple Raceberry Jam.

2) Select team (male or female) and meet (Friday or Saturday) for which you are submitting entries.  Click “Enter Declarations” to add entries for the meet.

3) Enter Athlete/Relay Information
a. Name:  For traditional state meet relays and the DMR, SMR and Shuttle Hurdle relays, use team name. For the 4X1600, 4X3200 and field event relays, enter each individual athlete’s first and last name.
b. Year in School: For the individuals, select the athlete’s year in school.
c. Event: Select the event for which you are entering the athlete.
d. Time/Height/Distance:
      *  For Saturday’s traditional state meet relays, marks submitted should be based on actual performances in the 2010 season.
     * Entries for Saturday's field events must be based on actual performances in the 2010 season. Please enter each athlete in the two person team individually under the field event.  Hamline will sum the 2 marks together for the team total.  If more than 2 relay teams are submitted from the same school, Hamline will automatically pair the top two entries together as a team, then the next two, etc.
    * Entries for Saturday’s 4X1600 and 4X3200 must be based on actual performance in the 2010 season. Please enter each athlete in the four person relay team individually under the distance they are running. Hamline will sum the 4 marks together for the total relay time.
     * Entries for Saturday’s DMR, SMR and Shuttle Hurdle relays should be entered as a relay team with the coach submitting a total predicted time for what relay is capable of performing on April 24.
e. Click ENTER ATHLETE.
     * For the traditional state meet relays, field event relays, 4X1600 and 4X3200, Hamline reserves the right to contact coaches regarding marks submitted and ask for date and name of meet where performance occurred.

4) Enter Additional Athletes: To enter more athletes or events for that particular meet day, click “Enter Another Performance.”

5)  Submit Athletes: After entering athletes’ performance information, you need to actually submit all your entries into the system.  Please remember to click “Submit Entries”.

Feel free to enter athletes and relays right away.  Indoor marks are valid!  You can make changes or scratches to any declarations that you have entered. Log into the system again and click on “Review declarations and scratch.”

ENTRY RULES AND FEES:

Multi-Event Participation:
* The two day Hamline Elite Meet qualifies as one meet under MSHSL guidelines.  Athletes are limited to competing in a max of 4 events over the two days (3 field & 1 running; 2 field & 2 running; 1 field and 3 running). An athlete may do no more than 2 running events of 800 meters or longer.

Same day doubles will be allowed. Please keep in mind the meet schedule when entering your athletes as the meet will run on time. Athletes are required to be at event check in 10 minutes prior to the event start time. Field events will start on time as well.  They will not wait for an athlete competing in another event. Field event athletes will be expected to jump or throw when their name is called. If they are not there in their alloted time they will be passed and lose that attempt. Please be mindful of the schedule when entering athletes that will be doing multiple events.

*  Any school that has a relay team in Friday’s competition will not be allowed to compete in that event on Saturday. Individuals who compete in Friday’s open running events are eligible to compete on their team’s relay(s) on Saturday.

*  Individuals competing in Friday's field events cannot come back and compete on Saturday in the two-person relay for the same field event.

All events are finals. All jumps and throws events athletes will recieve 4 attempts during Saturday's competition.

Entry fee: Saturday's events are all considered relays and are $20/relay. The entry fee is a max of $140 per team per gender over the two day event.  Payment will be required at check-in.  Fees cover meet management, meet workers, officials, timing system, etc.

Entry Criteria:
*  Entries for Saturday's traditional meet relays must be based on actual team performances in the 2010 season.

*  Entries for Saturday's field events must be based on actual performances in the 2010 season.

*  For the 4X1600 and 4X3200 relays: Coaches will be asked to submit the performances of each individual in the relay based on actual marks from the 2010 season.

*  For the DMR, SMR, and Shuttle Hurdle relays: Coaches will need to use their most accurate prediction of what their relay is capable of performing on April 24.  We would recommend looking at each athlete in the relay and summing each time for the total time for the team.

*  Special note regarding 1600m/3200m entry: Due to the challenging Minnesota weather we often have, we've decided to accept 1600 meter times to convert up to a 3200 meter. The entry can only be used once - for either the 1600 or 3200, not both. If you would like to use a coverted entry for the 3200, please email Paul Schmaedeke at pschmaedeke@hamline.ed.  He will convert the 1600 time for you for the entry process.

DISHONEST ENTRIES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.  A three year ban will be placed on any program entering false times or ineligible athletes.

In the event of bad weather:  We will continue the meet regardless, with the exception of near-by lightning. If the meet is cancelled, the decision will be made as early as possible. A cancellation announcement will be posted on the website and an email notification will be sent out to email addresses received during entry process. If cancelled, the meet will not be rescheduled due to limited facility availablity.

Field Sizes: We want to allow as many great athletes into the meet, while still keeping the concept of the meet in place, and keep the meet spectator friendly.  Below are the appox. field sizes.  Events with an '*' allow for meet management to shift field sizes depending on the closeness of the entered times.  If an event is very close, we will try to get the relay into the meet if the event will allow it safely. If a tie-breaker is needed, we will contact coaches for a 'second best performance' entry.
